Gratitude

Updated: Jun 7

It's that time of year when we often pause and reflect on what we are thankful for.

An article from Psychology Today (7 Scientifically Proven Benefits of Gratitude) lists the many benefits of this habit. Gratitude:

  • opens the door to more relationships

  • improves physical health

  • improves psychological health

  • enhances empathy and reduces aggression

  • supports better sleep

  • improves self-esteem

  • increases mental strength

This year, I made it a daily practice to write in a gratitude journal. I can't say for sure if any of those things happened due to my journaling, but I can say it was nice to reflect each day on the many things I'm thankful for - like this community. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, and for coming with me on my journey this last year. I am grateful for all of you!
